Lilia Ben Yahia

Public Relations and Communication Manager

Lilia Ben Yahia is the public relations and communications manager at the Tunisian American Enterprise Fund (TAEF) and also oversees the “TAEF Fellows Program.” She worked for 24 years at Citigroup Tunis, where she held various positions in operations, the personal accounts department, and multinational account management. She was also responsible for public relations for over 10 years.

During her career at Citigroup, Ms. Ben Yahia managed several projects funded by Citifoundation, including collaborations with UNIDO for the development of the olive wood production chain in Sidi Bouzid. She also oversaw educational programs, such as the establishment of a simulated trading room at IHEC (Institute of Higher Commercial Studies) and the implementation of an intranet system for the library at the University of Tunis El Manar. Additionally, she organized volunteer events in Tunisia on World Volunteer Day, coordinated globally by Citi.

Before joining Citigroup, Lilia Ben Yahia worked for a senator in Washington, D.C., where she conducted research on companies in the Boston area.

She graduated from the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University, specializing in international politics. Lilia is fluent in English, French, Arabic, Italian, and Spanish, and has some knowledge of Japanese.
